Exploring and improving best practice implementation of MEP projects in Qatar

Qatar is currently in the spotlight for several industries world wide. Off the back of Qatar winning the 2022 World Cup the country’s main focus is to develop its construction industry, in order to be the first ever Arab nation to host the world Cup.

It is expected that Qatar will spend up to US$ 150 billion on construction and infrastructure over the next 5 years. This boom has dramatically increased the need and demand for MEP services, which represents 30% of overall projects, with the main developments being in the commercial, residential, hospitality and infrastructure segment.

Qatar’s World Cup vision of sustainability and efficiency of all buildings has spurred on the formation of the Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS). This has led to all projects undergoing a green building plan where by sustainability and cost-effective designs are the top priority for developers. With most of the MEP products and materials being imported, the focus on prompt delivery of materials to ensure projects are on time is of utmost importance.

The 2nd Annual MEP Summit and Awards Qatar will highlight the key solutions to the latest challenges and opportunities in Qatar’s MEP sector. This event will feature technical presentations from key experts, demonstrating best-practices in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing sector.
